The biggest of all of the clouds, Cumulonimbus can tower up to 36,000 feet, where they meet the fast streams of air, giving them the distinct anvil shape. Sometimes these clouds can be spectacular to look at, and they are famously known for being the base cloud, for massive lighning storms, tornadoes, and golf-ball sized hail. oh, and torrential downpours, downbursts, microbursts, and flash flooding.
